Mamagoto Offers Lip Smacking Fusion and Hardcore Asian Delicacies with its New ‘Tah Koh’ and ‘Teppanyaki Grill’ Menus

If you are fond of Baos you are surely going to like the exotic range of soft shell tacos offered at Mamagoto, for the concept is similar, only the bread is different.

Mamagoto is one brand which has shown considerable improvement over the years. I have dined at their outlets numerous times and in every subsequent visit I have found that they have something new to offer. This award winning chain always strives for innovation in the kitchen and tries to offer those Asian dishes which are hard to find elsewhere in the capital.

Each of their Tacos is a unique flavour combination consisting of a different meat along with the ingredients that go well with it. We tried the ‘Porky’ which consisted of pork ribs and, as I said,  ingredients which go perfectly well with it like homemade plum sauce, thinly sliced green apple and micro greens.  The taste was divine and comparable to the Pork Rib baos at Fatty Bao which I rate very high. ‘Prawny’ Taco also seemed really tempting which consisted of, apart from the panko encrusted fried praws, the perfect accompaniments like chilli mayo, homemade pickles, Japanese BBQ sauce and spring onion. But as the serving staff insisted on trying something from their newly introduced Teppanyaki Grill menu, we skipped this one.

Looking at the Teppanyaki Grill menu I was amazed by the fact that the chefs are venturing into such complex flavours. I like restaurants which like to push their creativity beyond limits. Even though the Japanese grill is not placed on the table, you can watch the chef working up his magic in the open kitchen. I opted for the chicken version of ‘Shinjuku Midnight Snack’ which was greatly overpowered by the classic Miso touch but the rest of the flavours really played their part well and the overall dish was fantastic. I opted the chicken dish to be served with ‘Udon Noodles’ but the server served us ‘Fried Sticky Rice’ as well. I was completely satisfied by the end of the meal and my stomach was full.Maneesh Srivastva, food , travel and lifestyle blogger, photographer, mysticfoodiemantra.com tah koh festival at mamagoto, mamagoto Noida, malls of india , Abhishek swarup

We ended the meal with Coconut & Palm Sugar Ice Cream and I wondered what a lovely end it was to a satisfying meal. I was a bit sceptical about the ice cream but as I took the first bite I was completely bowled over by the thick texture and rich coconut flavour. The apt amount of sweetness was perfect to cut through the bombardment of spices my palate went through few minutes back.

I can’t say till when the Tah Koh and the Japanese Teppanyaki Grill Menus will continue but they are surely something not to be missed. The newly opened outlet at Mall of India, Noida is as colourful and vibrant as the others and deserves a visit whenever you make a trip to this mall.

A lawyer by profession, a foodie by passion, I relish what all life has to offer. As much I like to explore new cuisines I like to explore new destinations. I believe in moving around as a traveller not as a tourist. Food is an inseparable part of every culture and reveals an untold story beyond what the history books have to offer. Food brings out the child in me and makes me curious as to how much legacy and brilliance has gone into making a dish as common as butter chicken or maybe a biryani, which are now just sold as a commodity
