Jaypee Vasant Continental New Delhi invites you to Paatra, to experience the traditional flavours of Lucknawi and Hyderabadi cuisines at The Royal Kitchen of Nawabs food festival. The menu and cooking techniques focus on the culinary expertise which the master chefs from the Mughal era were famous for.
As the name suggests, the dishes on the menu will showcase an array of authentic preparations from the nawabi states of Lucknow and Hyderabad. With years of expertise in the art of creating traditional Indian cuisine, Chef Vaibhav Suri, Executive Sous Chef at Paatra shall create the perfect feast with dishes like Rampuri Jhinga – jumbo prawns in rich cashewnut based marinade; Murtabak – a rare delicacy from the streets of Hyderabad, a thin bread layered with lamb mince; and Gosht Baoli Handi – Lamb cooked on dum with vegetables and aromatic spices. For vegetarians too there is plenty to look forward to, Shikampuri Kabab – Flavourful vegetable mince patties stuffed with curd and nuts and Khatti Dal – Hyderabadi favourite, tangy arhar dal with a tinge of tamarind paste, to name a few.
