Flluid- Finally a Cafe in Noida that has the Wow Factor

Flluid, MosaicThose who have visited Hotel Mosaic in Sec 18, Noida must be aware of its restaurant cum bar Flluid which opened few years back as a pub but later transformed into a family restaurant. Now it has totally remodeled itself as a Café. Though the interiors haven’t changed much the menu is completely transformed. Created by Executive Chef Vijayant Rawat and Sous Chef Rakesh Painuli, the all new fusion fast food menu takes you on a food journey that’s innovative, modern, fun but very Indian. Below are some of my observations:

Good:

It’s unusual to see a café located inside a 4 star hotel where you can hand over your car keys to the valet, and the price you pay for the food is much lesser that what you usually pay at a popular stand alone café. I am not joking. Their dishes start from Rs 101++ and the most expensive dish in the menu is priced at Rs. 393++.

The menu itself is very exciting and a desi twist is added to your typical bistro fast food dishes. We tried some really interesting dishes like Chicken Khurchan Tart, Amritsari Masala Baked Fish, Matar Mushroom ke Taco, Khaas Seekh ka Hot Dog and Gulab Jamun Cheese Cake. As you can see the names of the dishes are self explanatory and you get a fair idea of what to expect while ordering something that interests you. The taste of everything was spot on and there was nothing more that you can ask for.

More than the food I liked the quirky and unconventional way in which the food and the drinks were presented. Eg. Various items were served in miniatures of antique iron, miniature shopping trolleys, miniature cookers, hip flasks and skull shaped glass.

Flluid, MosaicNot so good:

The serving staff requires more training as I could see it struggling with understanding the instructions of the guests. A staff member mistook a non veg burger for a veg burger and served it to a vegetarian guest. Also, considering the casual nature of the menu the ambience is a bit formal.

Overall:

I would definitely rate this café much higher than most of the cafes existing in Noida at the moment. A big competition in the name of ‘Mall of India’ is coming up soon but as of now this is one of the best places in town to take your family out for a nice meal. I would surely visit again as the menu is vast and each dish is quite unique in its own way. Oh, did I forget to mention they serve Vada Pav too!

A lawyer by profession, a foodie by passion, I relish what all life has to offer. As much I like to explore new cuisines I like to explore new destinations. I believe in moving around as a traveller not as a tourist. Food is an inseparable part of every culture and reveals an untold story beyond what the history books have to offer. Food brings out the child in me and makes me curious as to how much legacy and brilliance has gone into making a dish as common as butter chicken or maybe a biryani, which are now just sold as a commodity
