DineFest, India’s First Culinary Event Showcasing Prix Fixe Menus at The Finest Informal Dining Restaurants

DSC_6364_00017My first question to Mangal and Nachiket of Cellar Door Hospitality at La-Bodega in Khan Market – “What prompted you to start a new, informal dinning fest “Dine Fest “after successfully running the Restaurant Week and Chef’s Table Week for years? At La-Bodega in Khan Market, they started their first pilot event of Dine Fest that will continue till 1st of November. The price for 3 course prix fixe menu consisting of appetizer, main course, dessert at Mumbai and Delhi where 30 of the best stand-alone restaurants are participating is INR 600 + taxes. Nachiket shared. “Over the last couple of years, we have seen tremendous growth in standalone restaurant in both Delhi/NCR and Mumbai. We already have two events running twice a year where most of the fine dining restaurant are participating and that Indian Accent, Varq and Blue Ginger”

The idea started with the thought to give customer an experience of an informal setting where they can enjoy the prix fixe menu at a very economical price.

This is a Citi bank initiative to give diners, unique value proposition that can be availed. Interestingly their real time booking facility will make sure that every customer gets similar kind of experience whenever they book a meal. The preparations and choice of menu started with Nachiket and Mangal visiting each restaurant and tasting the food.

Besides the 3 course menu, you can also order from their al-carte menu (pricing based on the cost of each dish).
