Aerocity is growing at a fast pace and I am pretty sure that within a year it will become one of the most happening business hotel center of the city. It is already creating waves and every hotel is flourishing. Lemon Tree is one of the fastest growing hotel chains of upscale business and leisure hotels, opened their flagship, Hotel Lemon Tree premier, about two and half years ago( they will complete 2 years in next month).

We were invited at their pan Asian restaurant Republic of Noodles for an exclusive Chef’s Table hosted by Corporate Chef Rajiv Janveja and he said “this is our first ever food promotion at RON and we are showcasing the best of pan Asian cuisine from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Burma, prepared by Regional Chef Vasu Venkat Reddy and his team under his supervision.

Republic of Noodles which opened in 2009 in Goa, is a pan Asian specialty restaurant and since its inception it has earned great reviews for its dinner.

It was my first visit to the restaurant and after reading about it I was quite excited to meet Chef Rajiv. He carries more than 20 years of culinary experience and has been instrumental in setting up some of the iconic brands in India.

It was specially designed menu for chef’s table and I started my meal with Spicy Spring Chicken with Kafir Lime soup. It is a Thai soup that had excellent flavor of kaffir lime and balanced spice of chilli. In starters, I enjoyed prawn sui-mai – nice, juicy and stuffed with chunks of prawns – very delightful. Exotic Asian Greens and Celery Dim Sum were equally good and I enjoyed them too. My fellow bloggers asked for second helping tooJ.

For the main course, I enjoyed Cantonese Style Chicken &Thai Pepper and Tamarind red snapper. I loved the red snapper. It had excellent tangy flavor of tamarind that went well with Thai style sea food rice.

We finished our meal with one of my favorite Thai dessert – Water chestnut and Sago Pearls Coconut Roll.

If you love pan Asian food (not Japanese), Republic OF Noodles is the perfect place for you to enjoy with family and kids. It offers lovely view and in winters you can eat near the pool too J
